The Hidden Fortune
About this Work
Seed Form is an organic clay sculpture that captures the potential of life, growth, and natural transformation. Shaped as a cracked, hollow seed pod, the sculpture features textured fissures and open cavities that expose the hidden spaces within. Shweta Jain Maheshwari used hand-pressing and pinching methods to shape the delicate pod walls, deliberately leaving the edges raw and uneven. The concept focuses on hope and new beginnings—the idea that growth often requires breaking through old shells and embracing vulnerability. The rustic terracotta surface, treated with dark slips and natural oxides, emphasizes the organic crackle patterns, creating a direct visual link to the dry earth of the Indian landscape.
