About this Work

Drawing VI is a textured mixed media work on paper combining graphite, charcoal, and organic slips. The artwork features abstract, fluid shapes that seem to float and dissolve across the paper surface. Shweta Jain Maheshwari used water-soluble graphite pencils and wet charcoal washes, letting the pigments flow naturally to create organic blooms and sedimentation patterns. The concept explores the idea of flow, impermanence, and the passage of time, mirroring how water shapes earth and stone. The soft, textured boundaries and quiet earthy grey tones give this piece a highly modern, contemplative aesthetic.
