About this Work

Drawing III is a powerful fine-line ink and charcoal drawing on heavy paper. It focuses on the intersection of ancient architectural patterns with contemporary organic forms. Inspired by the sandstone arches and intricate details of Agra's heritage sites, Shweta Jain Maheshwari has layered geometric symmetries with organic, sweeping charcoal shadows. The resulting composition represents the tension between human structural precision and the fluid, chaotic patterns of nature. The sharp black ink contrasts beautifully with the soft, smudged charcoal, creating visual movement and a sense of architectural space on paper.
