Divya Drona (दिव्य द्रोण)
About this Work
Divya Drona (दिव्य द्रोण) draws inspiration from one of the profound episodes of the Mahabharata—the miraculous birth of Guru Dronacharya. According to ancient tradition, Sage Bharadwaja preserved his divine energy within a sacred vessel, known as a Drona, from which the revered teacher was born. This extraordinary narrative symbolizes the union of spiritual knowledge, divine purpose, and destiny.
At the heart of the composition, the radiant vessel becomes the focal point, representing purity, creation, and the emergence of wisdom. The presence of Sage Bharadwaja and the celestial apsara Ghritachi enriches the narrative, emphasizing the sacred origins of one of India's greatest gurus. Through dramatic lighting, expressive forms, and carefully balanced symbolism, the artwork conveys a sense of reverence and spiritual awakening.
Executed in Acrylic on Canvas, the painting blends mythology with contemporary artistic expression, inviting viewers to reflect on the timeless values of knowledge, discipline, and the divine journey of learning.
